SUPERINTENDENT
DAVIS' VISION & PLAN FOR MCS
- To Become A Top 10 District -
|
- To become a top-ten district where our students
learn to compete at all levels from the classroom to extra curricular
activities.
How do we get there? - The Six Pillars:
A Framework for Collaborating Change
1. Communication and Relationships -
It all starts here. It is the only common thread in all high performing
schools.
2. Leadership and Empowerment -
Principals, Assistant Principals and Central Office staff will
complete a course on "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" by
John Maxwell
3. Planning and Evaluation -
Successful implementation of Senate Bill 1, CASL, Standards Based
Grading, CITTS, Instructional Rounds and MAP Testing
4. Collaboration - We must have a common goal and have everyone
working toward that goal. We must include our community members
and parents in the decision making process. We must involve all
stakeholders
5. Accountability and Responsibility -
We must all be working to hold each person accountable to include
parents, teachers and administration.
6. Consistency and Redundancy - There is no magic bullet. Excellence
is achieved through doing the small things correctly day after
day.
